Views from the west – poppies

I love this image from my parent’s garden – these are poppies before they bloom. There’s something very ancient and yet futuristic about the stems and the buds before they bloom. Its also nice to see so much growing, especially with the endless sunny days we’ve been enjoying in the Thompson Okanagan region of British Columbia.
